With the signing of a project sales contract with a renowned solar module manufacturer for the Chulakkurgan solar park (South Kazakhstan), the Green Energy 3000 Group reached another milestone in the international project development at the end of 2018. The investor will complete the solarpark in close cooperation with Green Energy 3000. Construction work in the southern Kazakh steppe will begin in March 2019. The solar park will be connected to the grid in November 2019.

"I am pleased that we were able to make an important contribution to the energy turnaround in Kazakhstan through project development and technical planning right up to the building permit for a solarpark of this size," says Andreas Renker, Managing Director of Green Energy 3000 Holding GmbH based in Leipzig. "At the same time, the successful project sale underlines our grown competence in project development and technical planning of utility scale solar power plants, including high-voltage connection, and it confirms our successful internationalization strategy in and outside of Europe," adds Renker.

Since 2016, the Green Energy 3000 Group has been planning the solar park with a nominal output of 63 MWp and a forecast annual production of approx. 111 million kWh. This corresponds to the average electricity consumption of approximately 21,000 inhabitants of Kazakhstan. The solar park extends over an area of more than 60 hectares and will be connected to the public grid at 110 kV level via a transformer station specially plannedand to be built by Green Energy 3000.

Since entering the market in Kazakhstan, the Green Energy 3000 group has consistently driven project development forward despite all local challenges. The group is present in Kazakhstan through a branch office in Almaty and aims to successfully implement further projects in the wind and solar sector within the newly created tender system.
