Completion of first innovation project Großschirma I (Germany)

In September 2021, Green Energy 3000 started the construction of its first own innovation project in Großschirma (Central Saxony region). Now the combination of a solar park with a capacity of approx. 5.1 MW and a battery storage system with an additional capacity of 1.7 MW / 3.84 MWh was commissioned in total on 1 July 2022. The solar plant without storage was already completed in spring and has been successfully feeding into the grid in the meantime. Now the battery storage system has also been installed and commissioned.

The overall completion of the plant will be celebrated with all project partners at an official inauguration party in early July 2022.

The plant is one of the first of its kind in Germany and the first innovation project in central Germany. The added value also remains in the region. The corporate group is keeping the project in its portfolio and enabled employee participation in the investment. Operational management is handled by the company's subsidiary Green Asset 3000 GmbH.

A total of up to 25,000 households can be supplied with the energy generated, and the battery storage system also contributes to grid stability.
