Completion of solar plant with battery storage “Schnaittenbach II” (Germany)

In June 2022, Green Energy 3000 started the construction of the innovation project in Schnaittenbach (region Amberg-Sulzbach, Germany). Now the combination of a solar park with a capacity of approx. 7.2 MW and a battery storage system with an additional capacity of 2.4 MW / 2.8 MWh was commissioned in total in January 2023. The solar plant without storage was already completed in autumn 2022. Now the battery storage system has also been installed and commissioned.

This is one of the first DC-coupled battery storage systems in Germany.

The overall completion of the plant will be celebrated with all project partners at an official inauguration party in April 2023.

The plant was sold partially to an investor. The corporate group is keeping the remaining project parts in its portfolio. Operational management is handled by the company's subsidiary Green Asset 3000 GmbH.
