20 years of Green Energy 3000 – Anniversary celebration on 24.05.2024

At a large company celebration to mark the 20th anniversary of Green Energy 3000 in Leipzig, 180 guests looked back on the past two decades and celebrated.

Last Friday, Green Energy 3000 celebrated its 20th anniversary above the rooftops of Leipzig. The celebration began with an internal part where employees from all locations got together. Managing Director Andreas Renker addressed the approximately 70 employees from Leipzig, Lyon (FR) and Dubai (UAE) with an emotional speech, thanked them forthe past two decades and shared an outlook on upcoming projects. This was followed by a tribute to long-serving employees who have been with the companyfor five, ten and 15 years. A slide show with memories from the past 20 years provided some amusing moments.

The official part with business partners, political representatives and escorts took place in the evening. A total of around 180 guests came together at the FELIX event locationat Augustusplatz to celebrate this special event.

A champagne reception with musical accompaniment by Leipzig singer Jasmin Graf kicked off the event, followed by a wide and varied programme:

Speeches from the world of politics

Martin Dulig, Saxon State Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport, praised the resilience and adaptability of Green Energy 3000 in a video message and emphasised the importance of the company in the sustainable transformation of the energy system. Leipzig's Mayor for Economic Affairs, Clemens Schülke, spoke about climate policy and the expansion of renewable energies in Leipzig and drew parallels with the development of Green Energy 3000.

Looking back on 20 years of Green Energy 3000

The speech by Managing Director Andreas Renker was another highlight of the evening. He proudly recounted the history of the company, going back to the very beginning, when he worked as a wind expert in 1994 and began planning the first wind andsolar systems with the engineering firm Renker.

Just a few years later, in 2004, the company Green Energy 3000 was founded with five employees. "In the early years, we were a small but dedicated team that was passionate about renewable energies," recalls Andreas Renker.

Today, the company has over 80 employees and Andreas Renker is confident about the future: "As a team, we are also motivated to drive forward new innovations. We have already demonstrated in recent years how focussed we are on the future. We were one of the first companies in Germany to install PV systems with battery storage. We also want to push ahead with topics such as agrivoltaics in the coming years."

Cabaret, music and finale

The subsequent entertainment programme with cabaret artists from the Leipzig Pfeffermühle, singer Jasmin Graf and DJ Beatzeps rounded off the evening and ensured anexuberant atmosphere.

Green Energy 3000 looks back proudly on 20 successful years and looks forward to the future with excitement. With a strong, international, experienced and diverse team, the company is ready to continue driving innovation and realising the vision of sustainable energy solutions.
